First Smiles!

Treyden has just started smiling in the last couple days. He doesn't do it a lot yet, but enough to know they are real smiles and not just gas! I was lucky enough to catch a few of them on video today. The video is a couple minutes long, so it might be boring for you to watch, but I love it! It's so fun to see him start to respond to things around him. I can believe how fast he changes!

My parents and my brother, Brett, and his wife and little 9 month old daughter came this last weekend from Idaho. It was so fun to see them. We had some intense games on Brett's Nintendo Wii, and both Andy and I had sore arms the next couple days. We had never played before, but it was so fun! While they were here, we were helping Breanna (the 9 month old), and Treyden give each other hugs. Treyden was starving, so everytime Breanna would get close he would latch onto her cheek and try to eat her. It was so funny! We helped them give each other one last hug, and Breanna happened to turn at exactly the right time, and they locked lips, open mouthed and everything. It was hilarious! So now they are officially kissing cousins! Here's a picture of the priceless moment. I'm sure they'll love it when they are older!

1 Month Old

Treyden is already one month old! Time goes by so fast. I told Andy, before we know it we're going to be sending him on a mission. It has been so fun, though. Even though he doesn't do much more than eat, sleep, and poop, we can't get enough of him. He is getting so close to starting to smile, and I can't wait. He is such a good baby. He is still only getting up once or twice a night, and is just so good all the time.

Where'd all my time go?

Wow, I never knew that having a baby would require so much time! I figured it out the other day and in a 24 hour period, I spend about 7 hours breastfeeding!! Being a mom is great, though. I love it. I was holding Treyden the other day and just started choking up thinking how special he is and how much I love him. Sometimes I can't believe that he is really my little boy. I'm starting to get more used to the schedule of having a baby at home. The first few days were pretty rough as both he and I figured out the whole feeding thing, and just things in general. I'm so glad Andy was here to help! After a couple of days though we started to figure things out, and they have been a lot better. Treyden has only been getting up once or twice a night. It is great! The days have been a little tough with him feeding every 2 hours and taking an hour to eat, so only an hour in between to go grocery shopping or do anything. The last couple days he's started going longer in between feedings, though, so that's been nice. It is so fun to see him learn and start to recognize voices and things. He is already growing up so fast, but it's so fun to see him grow, too. Here are a few pictures that we've taken the last week.

I love this picture! I took a bunch hoping I could get some that turned out good, and I absolutely love this one!

Precious little feet! Another one of my favorite pics.

Andy took this picture while Trey and I were taking a nap, and I just love it.

This is a baby announcement that I have been working on. I still have a couple minor adjustments to make to it, but I like the way it has turned out so far. I love Photoshop!
